Public bug reported:
Using Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit and Audacious 3.2.1 (also can reproduce on
version 3.3.2)
Although Audacious has a setting to use a network proxy, it seems that
proxies created using SSH (ssh -C -D), which are SOCKS proxies, do not
work when streaming mp3s (such as SomaFM's streaming mp3s). I've tested
that the proxy works just fine otherwise, and I have configured
Audacious with the same proxy configuration as Firefox. The only
difference I can see is that Audacious doesn't ask if it's an HTTP proxy
or a SOCKS proxy, which makes me suspect that's where it's breaking
down.
** Affects: audacious (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
