I just retried on a fresh amd64 desk install from the iso, and could not
reproduce it.

What I have seen before, though, is where the bios was set to not enable
kvm, but kvm-ok failed to detect that.

Could you please boot into your bios screen and check to make sure that
virtualization extensions are enabled?

If they are, then please append here the full 'cat /proc/cpuinfo'
output.
