Public bug reported: Tribe 2 20070630 on IBM ThinkPad R31 cursor was at bottom margin and Tribe 2 flashed 12 consecutive shutdown requests. No mouse button was pushed. Tribe 2 acted as if the cursor was on top right and got a bunch of left button presses which was not the case. I cancelled 12 times and then Tribe 2 continued, only to happen again a short time later with 8 consecutive shutdown requests.
In a way this seems similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/84119 however the fix for that: quiet splash noapic acpi=off irqpoll resulted in "kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!", totally dead, unable to copy any logs. Any ideas on anything to try? ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gutsy Tribe 2 multiple false shutdown on ThinkPad R31 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/123333 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
