Funtoo Linux 3.6.0 here.

I found the
     load-module module-udev-detect tsched=0
setting somewhere in the ArchLinux wiki:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PulseAudio#Glitches.2C_skips_or_crackling

So i added tsched=0, did not help, made it even worse.

Then I additionally changed
     default-fragments = 8
     default-fragment-size-msec = 5

and recompiled my kernel to 300 Hz (was 1000Hz before)

after playing arround with alsamixer as root,
_removing_ tsched=0 again,
setting default-sample-rate = 44100 (was 48000)
and killing pulseaudio, the sound was perfect again. Not really sure why.

Motherboard: GA-MA790FXT-UD5P, Audio: AMD nee ATI SBx00 Azalia (Intel
HDA)
