My Wireless-Tools and Extension are compatible with each other:

iwconfig Wireless-Tools version 28
Compatible with Wireless Extension v11 to v20.
Kernel Currently compiled with Wireless Extension v20.
wlan0 Recommend Wireless Extension v18 or later,
Currently compiled with Wireless Extension v20.
I can connect to my hidden networks (home/work) using NetworkManager by going
to "Connect to Other Wireless Network" and manually entering SSID, WPA
password, etc. However on reboot, NetworkManager will not auto reconnect to
either network, I have to do it manually every time, even though both networks
are saved in gconf-editor.
I'm using Ubuntu 6.10, BCM4318 with ndiswrapper driver on an Acer Aspire
3000 laptop.
