Public bug reported:

I purchased a Sans Digital MS4UM+B
(http://www.sansdigital.com/mobilestor/ms4umplusb.html). This is a 4-bay
eSATA/USB3.0 JBOD enclosure. I am testing it with a single drive,
attached to this system.

Observed:
Connecting via USB, the system recognizes the drive in the enclosure, mounts
it, and data can be read and written.
Connecting via eSATA, the drive is not available. Looking in dmesg, I see:

…this series of messages is repeated if I:
- Power off and on the enclosure.
- Disconnect and reconnect the eSATA cable.
- Install the package 'scsitools' and run, in a terminal, 'sudo
rescan-scsi-bus'.

Expected:
- The drive is available as /dev/sdX.
