You can set the orientation in ibus-pinyin's own setup UI.

How to enter ibus-pinyin's setup UI.
You need to set "Show language panel:" as "When Active" or "Always" in IBus 
Preferences.
Then you click the icon like key "i" in the language panel.
ibus-pinyin's setup UI should pop up now.
