Currently my system shows:

[ 0.000000] Found optimal setting for mtrr clean up

I ran apport-collect 1062970, but it didn't really do anything besides
starting a browser and telling me I was already logged in. Due to the
massive list of open bugs in Apport, I also have stopped using Apport,
since it didn't work in 80% of the cases or so for various reasons, none
of them which are related to me the user. I.e., the success rate is too
low for it to be useful. If you want your bugs reported with higher
quality, concentrate on fixing apport first.

See https://bugs.launchpad.net/apport for the already existing massive
list of open bugs for Apport.

For this particular problem there appears to be a correlation between
the fglrx driver being loaded and this problem, but whether it's really
fglrx's fault? If you type fglrx mtrr into any search engine, it will
show this correlation nicely. It's certainly not a problem unique to my
machine.
