Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: sun-java6-jdk

The current package of sun-java6-jdk currently contains the following
warning in its description:

>>>
NOTE: You must accept Sun's EULA prior to successfully installing
this package
<<<

My understanding is that the recent versions of Java are Open Source
under the GPL v2 license. Is this correct or is there somethine missing
here? Is there a difference between JDK6 and OpenJDK or are they the
same?

My information comes from here:
http://www.java.net/community/openjdk/

If it is, indeed GPLv2, then this warning is misleading and should be
removed.

Ideally, it would be nice to see OpenJDK moved into main, considering
its new-found freedom, and the myriad of open source software written in
Java.

** Affects: sun-java6 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
