Public bug reported:
Firefox playing google video sometimes starts to play the smaller window
after a bit when you leave it around while playing the maximum window.
This is intermittent, but it doesn't appear to be movie dependent. It
could also be a problem just with Google, but it doesn't seem likely.
Steps include:
1. Using the standard firefox on Gutsy (looks like 2.0.0.4) go to the Google
video site and pull up a full length video that plays for more than a few
minutes.
2. Evoke the video.
3. Some time after the expansion button becomes available to make the video
full screen, hit it. I've done this mostly by hitting the tile rather than the
pulldown.
4. Once the video has come up full screen, without touching any functional
buttons there, check back with the smaller screen window, which should still be
there. Most of the time it will in fact just have a label saying the video is
being played on a larger window. Reproduction circumstances I've seen include:
a. Just waiting awhile, and then the video will begin to play on the smaller
windows.
b. Sometimes going back and forth between the windows a few times, again
without touching anything functional, seems to cause the video to begin on the
smaller window. This is especially true if the video has been playing for
awhile.
c. It seems that the longer you play a video on a maximum window with the
original still there, the more likely it will be to start the same video
simultaneously for some reason on the smaller window too, usually subsequent to
some window access by the mouse.
