We are already on track to doing that on Android, and the Android
security update situation is worse than the security update situation on
various desktop Linux distros. As in: It’s worse to the point of not
having system updates—security or other—in most cases.

I think it would be unwise for distros to turn GStreamer on before bug
760140 is fixed.
