Hi Joseph, The mainline 3.6 kernel:
$ uname -a Linux khaeru-desktop 3.6.0-030600-generic #201209302035 SMP Mon Oct 1 00:36:01 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux …does not fix this bug. The symptoms are identical. I attach a new dmesg with log data from when I turn on the enclosure ( 171.722016 to 207.065893) and then turn it off (218.877500 to 219.598771). Extra information: the PCI ID 0x197b:0x0325 seems to correspond to the device's JMicron JMB321 chip (http://www.jmicron.com/Product_JMB321.htm). The log output indicates "15 ports", but the device has only 4 bays for SATA drives. The JMB321 specs indicate the chip has 15 "GPIOs". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1062647 Title: eSATA failure - "PMP product ID mismatch" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1062647/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
