This appears to be an issue from the global menu conversion perhaps?
** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Confirmed
** Description changed:
- When I try to start presentation, the menu element is disabled. The
- toolbar button and F5 for start presentation works...
+ Starting a presentation from the menu by selecting slideshow, slideshow
+ doesn't work. The 'slideshow' menu item is grayed out and cannot be
+ selected. To workaround the issue, you can use the toolbar button or
+ press the keyboard shortcut F5, both which properly start the
+ presentation.
