Wow, don't try the alternative kernel provided by Kamal if you don't own a Dell XPS 13!
I just tried it on a Sony Vaio T13 and, after restarting, my backlight was completely switched off! The screen was black and restoring it to its normal state (when you can read what's on the screen, you know) was a pain in the a**!
