Hello, It happened once when switching back to the old kernel (first reboot after suspending on the first try), never after that. I'm now currently using the lasted official kernel from repos (3.5.17) without problem on suspending.
I would like to ask you a question: My new samsung np900x4c laptop doesn't seems to be fully supported yet by the kernel/ubuntu for the time being. Problems currently having independent of kernel version in ubnuntu: - Lid open/close not being detected. - Battery status not well detected (shows icon as charging while disconnected or viceversa) - Some Keyboard Fn Keys not working: wireless, keyboard backlight, etc - And this one I think is a Ubuntu/gnome bug: when pressing power button, in the dialog box, the suspend button does nothing. but suspending from the top-right corner menu option works.. Of Course, There's no solutions yet for this model to the hardware related problems found in google (not that I found), and I was wondering how can I help in the process of making this computer fully supported in linux. I study software engineering, so I think I could even help with some codes, but I don't know where to go. Could you please send me some light on this matter. Thanks. Tomas Hayes.
