As a potential WORKAROUND, if your CPU sensors approach overheat/auto-shutdown, you could governor your CPUs by executing the following via a terminal: sudo cpufreq-selector --cpu=0 --governor=powersave && sudo cpufreq-selector --cpu=1 --governor=powersave && sudo cpufreq-selector --cpu=2 --governor=powersave && sudo cpufreq-selector --cpu=3 --governor=powersave && cpufreq-info
