YK, this patch is still not in mainstream kernel tree, and also is not in platform-drivers-x86 tree yet. The maintainer of asus-wmi driver accepted this patch, so it still needs some time to wait this patch to enter mainstream kernel. Once this patch is in mainstream kernel tree, I'll submit the ubuntu kernel SRU.
