  Ingres is a venerable DBMS which has been open-sourced under the GPL by
  its' parent company. Many institutions (including mine!) still use it,
  but Ingres themselves only supply RPMs and a tgz - a proper Ubuntu
  package would be handy, especially for people like me who wish to have
  the option of developing Ingres applications on an Ubuntu sandpit box.
