No, there is no plan for a long-term fix yet.
The UI might need some rework, yes, but that would be better done
upstream.
Otherwise, it's a matter of just how the UI is designed, so AFAICS no
real way around it.
I'm going to unassign myself now because I don't expect to have time to
work on it soon, but I doesn't mean the bug won't get fixed. We'll see.
Maybe I can fit this in during travel time to UDS :)
