** Description changed: Hotkey fn+f2 is supposed to toggle wifi on/off. That's the way it was working on ubuntu 10.10 and 11.04. I have updated from 11.04 to 11.10. When wifi is toggled on at startup, i can connect to wireless network. If i toggled it off and then on again, network manager says "device not ready". And i can't connect to wireless network anymore. Same situation if i start the computer with wifi disable. - To make it working again, i have to do sudo rmmod ath9k / sudo modprobe - ath9k while wifi is toggled on. - - I have also formatted my computer and done a claen install of ubuntu + I have also formatted my computer and done a clean install of ubuntu 11.10 but i have still the same issue. - I don't know which package is affected... + WORKAROUND: + sudo rmmod ath9k + sudo modprobe ath9k + + while wifi is toggled on. + --- AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24.
