Public bug reported: Please add the wsmancli tool to Universe.
wsmancli works in tandem with Openwsman (which is already included in the Ubuntu universe repository). This is an Opensource Implementation of WS-Management. The package contains the command line utility to interact with a wsman server. This is an especially important tool for managing Dell's PowerEdge server lineup. URL: http://sourceforge.net/projects/openwsman/files/wsmancli/ License: GPL-2+ Notes: This is currently hosted on a ppa by Jared Dominguez at Dell: https://launchpad.net/~jared-dominguez/+archive/wsmancli/ ...but Dell has requested this be added to universe instead of being maintained / hosted separately, since we already include openwsman in universe. The version packaged at this moment in the ppa is wsmancli 2.2.6 in order to leverage the openwsman libraries currently available in Ubuntu. It is also currently only packaged for Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise). If openwsman is updated, per this request here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openwsman/+bug/1068738 then the utility may need to be repackaged against the updated libraries. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: needs-packaging -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1068766 Title: [needs-packaging] wsmancli command line tool for openwsman To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1068766/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
