Marked this bug as a dupe of #1064962, because there's more focus on
that report, and seems to be the same issue.
Thanks Dmitry for your workaround, brilliant. I can live with
minimising/maximising a window once to get the menu back :) However,
unfortunate that this bug made it through, it's even present on the
official 12.10 live media :(
