Same behavior between 3.7.0-030700rc1 (upstream), 3.5.0-17 (Quantal) and 3.2.0-32 (Precise) : computer is silent, and then the fan goes strongly, and then silence, and fan ... an so on. Like if there was no intermediate fan speed. Even in the login page without doing anything.
I am thinking about reinstalling Precise, but I begin to wonder if my hardware has a problem or not.
