Are you sure that the .zip you are trying to open is a valid zip?
Also, Ubuntu 10.10 hasn't been supported since April. Please upgrade to
a currently supported Ubuntu release: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases I
recommend Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
