Public bug reported:

Today I installed Ubuntu 12.10
I downloaded from http://sldev.free.fr/ this:
CoolVLViewer-1.26.4.34-Linux-x86-Setup
Written was: to install, download the package, make it executable (chmod +x),
then execute it and follow the dialogs.
I did as they asked, did chmod +x and executed it. Below you can see what
happen, at first eveyting goes well but at the end you can see the errors
coming.
I tried also three other programs . In every occasion there was an error.

after ./CoolVLViewer-1.26.4.34-Linux-x86-Setup in the terminaL the
installation started
The end of the installation gives:

libGL error: failed to load driver: i915
libGL error: Try again with LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose for more details.
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
libGL error: Try again with LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose for more details.
The program 'cool_vl_viewer-bin' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 30 error_code 11 request_code 153 minor_code 3)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
*** Bad shutdown. ***
