I'm having the same issue. The problem seems to be the grub configuration is pointing to the wrong filename. It's trying to load /casper/vmlinuz.efi.signed which isn't in the disc image. By editing the boot options to use /casper/vmlinuz I was able to boot successfully without modifying the image.
I have no idea what the security implications are for doing this; however, if others want to try you can do the following: 1) Boot to the grub menu 2) Press F2 (I think it was f2, the instructions at the bottom tell you) to edit the boot option 3) modify the section reading /casper/vmlinuz.efi.signed to be /casper/vmlinuz 4) press F10 to boot Steve. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1069475 Title: grub fails to boot unsigned kernel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1069475/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
