Public bug reported:

After upgrading from 12.04 to 12.10, dropbox applet is stuck on
"connecting" status.

Maybe this is a upstream bug, but this behaviour began after upgrade.

Using tcpdump, I can see traffi to dropbox servers and my files are
correctly synchonized.

Still, the applet should be displaying file statuses (recent changed
files, quota usage) etc.
