Hello,
I'm testing the kernel you suggested right now and it seems to be working! The
problem didn't present itself, and pages load a lot faster than in the default
kernel (where I always got a small delay before Chromium started loading).
I wasn't able to install linux-
headers-3.7.0-030700rc2-generic_3.7.0-030700rc2.201210201535_amd64.deb
because of a missing dependancy (linux-
headers-3.7.0-030700rc2-generic_3.7.0-030700rc2). I had problems with
the default session, so I'm testing this in GNOME classic (I don't think
it makes any difference though).
Some other notes:
- I downloaded Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit image and created a Live USB. I've
tried it only briefly, and the problem did not appear. I tested it only
for a few minutes, so I'm not sure if it was really working or if I was
lucky.
- disabling ipv6 doesn't work. I thought it worked, but I tested this
more extensively today and the problem persists, with random online and
offline periods.
Thanks for the help!
