Xubuntu 12.10 install goes fine till the last leg, then: 'The installer
encountered an unrecoverable error. a desktop session will now be run so
that you may investigate the problem and try installing again.'

Used xubuntu-12.10-desktop-i386.

Did multiple attempts. Sometimes you just hang at that point with a
busy-sign cursor.

Did the suggest fix for AMD chips: 'sudo apt-get purge ubiquity-
slideshow-xubuntu' in the LiveCD, then carry on with installing again.
This works.

CPU is Athlon 1300, bios-clocked to 1733.

The previous install of lubuntu-12.04-desktop-i386 did not have this problem.

Thanks for working on this, guys. Please do consider adding this one to
the Release Notes for 12.10. I had a multi-hour black-comedy before I
found out this was the problem.
