I'm not with my iBook here (iBook G3 12", combo drive, 640MB of RAM (maxed out), late 2001 model), but I have the same problem that Gary mentioned: I could not boot with the installation CD of Feisty (I was just dropped on an early terminal and that was it).
I tried running again the initial script and it showed the ubuntu logo with the progress bar going back and forth, but it stopped after, say, 5 seconds and I was back again dropped to a terminal. It is a sad thing that Ubuntu has put the powerpc machines "to rest in peace" when they are still quite usable. :-( I would love to have a new Feisty or anything else working from the install/desktop CD. :-( Regards, Rog'erio Brito. -- kernel fails to fully boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/51080 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
