I also found out that now the pci-routeirq switch does not seem to make
a diference anymore (I have no clue why that seemed to solve it a few
days ago).

So it seems like a NIC reset is required at startup. It should be
possible to fix this, as in Windows it works correctly after waking up
from hibernation mode.
