I tested the updated ledmon on Precise with a Dell Poweredge R720, which includes one of the new PCIe SSD enclosures.
Updating from 0.32-1 to 0.74-1 requires a new dependency, which is libsgutils2-2. This was pulled in by apt-get, so, no problems there. With the previous 0.32-1 release, I could not send commands to the PCIe- SSD disks to identify them, i.e.: sudo ledctl locate=/dev/rssda did not work. What that command does is blink the LED on the hard drive for identification purposes. However, with the latest 0.74-1 release, I could send the above command to the PCIe-SSD device and it would correctly identify the device with a blinking LED. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1068721 Title: Sync ledmon 0.74-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ledmon/+bug/1068721/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
