my locate database is denying me access. When I: sudo chmod 770 /var/lib/mlocate/mlocate.db and then reboot, I still get: $ locate crap locate: can not open `/var/lib/mlocate/mlocate.db': Permission denied This along with a host of other problems (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1059521).
