Hi all,
I have an issue with the update manager (on 12.04).
It used to work correctly until a couple of days ago.
When trying to launch it, it returns a message beginning by :
"Could not initialise the package information"
then the main contain is :
"
E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with MergeList
/var/lib/apt/lists/extras.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_precise_main_binary-i386_Packages,
E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.
"
In a separate message, that pops up from time to time (and might be related),
it says there is an issue with :
"/usr/sbin/update-apt-xapian-index"
