Screen brightness also seems to be an issue. Using the the brightness
control (System Settings > Brightness and Lock) I am able to control
screen brightness from 0 to 9442905. At minimum brightness, the
backlight is turned off completely, but the screen itself remains on,
and can be observed by shining a bright flashlight on the screen.

The value of /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/actual_brightness
varies as follows

#Maximum brightness
$cat /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/actual_brightness
9442905

#Minimum brightness
$ cat /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/actual_brightness
0

The Brightness Control slider (in Brightness and Lock) modifies the
'/sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/actual_brightness' in by 94429 for
100 steps in total.

Additionally no matter the value of brightness set, unplugging the AC adapter
'sets' the screen brightness to 4517782.
Plugging the AC adapter back in 'sets' the screen brightness to 3851224.
Previously set values are ignored. Screen is dimmer when connected to AC
adapter than when on battery (3851224<4517782)

Please advise if i should file a new bug
