Hi Dave,

_02:29_$ ls -l /usr/bin/locate /etc/alternatives/locate /usr/bin/mlocate
/var/lib/mlocate/mlocate.db
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root          16 Jul 19 18:03 /etc/alternatives/locate
-> /usr/bin/mlocate
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root          24 Jul 19 18:03 /usr/bin/locate ->
/etc/alternatives/locate
-rwx--s--x 1 root group    39472 Aug 17  2011 /usr/bin/mlocate
-rw-r----- 1 root lightdm 16102513 Oct 26 09:16 /var/lib/mlocate/mlocate.db

So lots of links.
The group name I replaced with 'group' so don't let that throw you off.

Best,

Brian
