Public bug reported:

wifi not working by default, after a fresh installation i have to
download broadcom b43 zip file and extract it to the firmware folder
manually and then enable it (also manually) through the terminal, this
issue exist in Ubuntu 12.04, and 12.10 also. to note, previous Ubuntu
versions worked just fine out-of-the-box

to reproduce the issue:
- Have a laptop with Broadcom 43 wifi chipset
- Install a fresh Ubuntu (12.04 or 12.10)

you will find that Wifi is not working and you are not able to access
the internet using wifi during installation nor after installation.
