I've done a clean wipe and install, updated, and problem still exists. The dash opens late, populates after 20 seconds, has a type lag of 2 seconds per letter, and it's impossible to close the dash. CPU rises to 100% of which 99% allocated to compiz, and it stays there. the system is unusable and needs to be cut off by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, switching to terminal and typing sudo killall -u <user> or even the occasional Ctrl+Alt+SysRq, REISUB.
