My browsers seem to be caching the wrong plugin version. If I start my browser
with a new profile (-P -no-remote), it reports
Version 2.0.4 Twoflower, copyright 1996-2011 VideoLAN and Authors
and plugincheck is happy.

So the sequence was
* Install VLC 2.0 and browser-plugin-vlc package; browser detects plugin
version 2.0.1.
* Update VLC to 2.0.3 and then to 2.0.4, while the browser-plugin-package
doesn't change.
BUG: existing browser profiles still detect plugin version 2.0.4.

I don't know whose bug this is, because I don't know whose job it is to
refresh the plugin description detected by Firefox and Seamonkey.
