Public bug reported:

According to the wiki, XBMC has included SFTP support since at latest
version 10 (Dharma); however, the Ubuntu-packaged version seems to have
left this out. SFTP does not show up as an option when trying "Add
Network Location", and when I try to select an Avahi-announced SFTP
share I get no response from the UI and the following lines in
$XBMC_ROOT/temp/xbmc.log:

17:24:29 T:139986422699776 WARNING: Create - Unsupported protocol(sftp) in
sftp://anonymous:[email protected]:22/

CGUIDialogFileBrowser::GetDirectory(zeroconf://%5fsftp%2dssh%2e%5ftcp%2e%40local%40SFTP%20on%20biggie%2dubu)
 failed

I'm not sure if this is also an issue in earlier Ubuntu releases.
