Confirm this bug effects multiple users, I did a number of tests to try to fix 
it, on the Ubuntu Forum.

3. Seperate x screens were available in 12.04.
4. No seperate x screens available, mouse goes off screen 1 at right and enters 
at left.
Cannot get mouse to second screen. Screen the mouse is trapped on is always 
primary.
The system lost my customised background images for the Dual Monitor set-up 
aswell.

I use Kubuntu with xfce as alternate login, both of which are affected.

  mouse pointer wraps around on first x screen instead of moving to 2nd
