Public bug reported:
Generally speaking, online content is only indexed when an associated
account has been added to Ubuntu under (All Settings > Online Accounts).
Why is it that Amazon is treated differently?
Ubuntu should provide the ability to add an Amazon account, as well as
other onine purchasing accounts, and only display products in the search
results if these accounts are present and activated.
Having online accounts for the shopping lens would align much better with the
existing lens functionality:
- It would allow users to opt-in.
- It would probably provide better search results based on previous purchases.
- It scales better with other online shopping sites.
