I have several systems, all running 12.10 at this point. Older Logitec mice without the Unifying dongle work always, on all machines. Mice with the Unifying dongles have been working always on my machines with USB2 ports. Mice with the Unifying dongles have never worked properly (12.10) on my Sony Z-Series with USB3. Sometimes unplugging/plugging in the dongle will make it work, but it will randomly stop working.
