Any attempt to install and use an Nvidia driver on 64-bit Ubuntu 12.10
will result in a locked system following a reboot and logon.
a NOOB will neither understand the problem nor comprehend that it can be
remedied via the following prior to installing/selecting and Nvidia
driver:
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r)
