I just installed gstreamer-vaapi but I also have latest intel i915 vaapi driver installed as well. Normally with smplayer and mplayer-vaapi playing a HD movie would take up to 12% max CPU and now with gstreamer- vaapi, the CPU stays at 15% max when watching the same movie via Totem.
