** Description changed: The fn keys for brightness on my HP Compaq 6710b are not working. On ubuntu 12.04 this worked fine, now with 12.10 its doesn't. Related is the problem that the brightness setting is reset to 50% after rebooting or pluging in the power adapter. p.s. apport-collect seems not to be working on 12.10 beta2 with latest updates?? apport-collect 1063804 ERROR: The launchpadlib Python module is not installed.
