Public bug reported:
With Kubuntu 12.04 printing multiple pages per sheet with the kde
printer option in okular worked fine, however since an upgrade to 12.10
this does not work any more:
When Printing a PDF document with about 8 Pages with Okular and choosing
the print option 2 pages per sheet, the print jobs starts and the first
sheet gets printed - however the two pages are printed side-by-side on
the sheet in portrait orientation (of the sheet) which makes them
unreadable small . Correctly the two (portrait) pages should be printed
on the sheet in landscape orientation. And to make things worse the
printer gets stuck on printing when trying to (duplex) print on the back
of the sheet and quits with an error message: "to avoid damage to the
printer, power on/off printer"
Driver: HP Officejet Pro 8500 a909a, hpcups 3.12.6 (color, 2-sided printing)
Connection: socket://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9100
Defaults: job-sheets=none, none media=iso_a4_210x297mm
sides=two-sided-long-edge
When I choose "PDF" as a printer and choose the two pages per sheet
option the pdf gets correctly generated. When I print this PDF
everything works fine. Could this be an error in some cups-filter setup?
