Suspend to RAM works for 3 times (sometimes it takes about 2 mins to go to sleep though) Then the machine just turns off its screen but keeps running (usually heating up the case) I can use the suspend menu once After resume the menu has disappeared
Usually there are artefacts where the unity launcher is expected (I have turned it to disappear). I can log out and login again to get the suspend menu back.
