I came here from the following previous bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1006918
This is what happens to me: I have this bug in my Asus 1215b with amd c-60 APU. I currently run kubuntu 12.04.1 and run kernel 3.2.0-32. I tried most of the tips and recipes found all over the internet and none of them worked. When I try to suspend my pc I randomly have success or not in waking it up again. In 50-60% percent of the times it does not wake up and when it works, it does not work at the second attempt most of the times. To recover the computer I need to remove the power cord and the battery, and put them back in place, otherwise the laptop does not boot anymore and the screen remains black. Changing options in the BIOS or changing from Radeon driver to fglrx doesn't make any difference. I tried also to install kernel version 3.5.7 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/ but wasn't able to make the fglrx driver working, so kde came up with no eccects and with slowly moving windows. Then I tried to suspend and the bug was still there, I wasn't able to resume. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1007693 Title: Asus 1215b: Suspend unreliable, prevents reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1007693/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
