I stopped testing v3.7-rc2-quantal after a few hours as it was too unstable (did not observe the bug, but I think that the observation time was too short to reach any conclusion).
Then I installed http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.4-precise/ I have been using it for about a week. I did not experience the freeze with the same symtoms. I think that in this case the observation time was long enough to conclude that the bug does not occur with the 3.4 mainline kernel. Anyway, the mainline 3.4 kernel is quite unstable (issues with rebooting, suspending, with some kernel modules, etc.) is there an ubuntu-supported 3.4 kernel that I can install on precise? ** Tags added: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-v3.4-precise ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1056337 Title: complete freeze To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1056337/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
